Since 2011 he has been the correspondent for China Global Television (China’s National TV) covering Zimbabwe and Zambia. He is a current affairs producer/presenter on ZiFM Stereo, specializing in business, finance and parliamentary affairs. He has previously worked for East Africa’s largest media conglomerate, Nation Media Group, as a news anchor on NTV Uganda. Mwakutuya is an accomplished and sought-after Director of Ceremonies and Moderator and has worked on a number of high profile events including the recent Mining Investment Conference (Feb 2018), President Private Sector interface.
Lloyd Manokore is the Managing Partner of Manokore Attorneys, a commercial law firm which has become recognized as a specialist corporate advisor in the market. Lloyd is the head of the Real Estate Practice Group and has an invaluable grasp of markets within Sub-Saharan Africa. Wayne Troughton is CEO of HTI Consulting. He has been in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industries for 22 years. He has held positions in 5-star hotels for 10 years in the UK and South
Africa. He began consulting with Grant Thornton in South Africa, providing specialist consulting services. In 2003, Wayne left Grant Thornton as an Associate Director to start his own specialist tourism, hospitality and leisure consulting company, focusing on Africa and the Middle East. Wayne has worked on more than 200 assignments in 35 countries, mostly on the African continent. Wayne has consulted for IFC and World Bank on investment climate issues and tourism programs in Africa.
Gibson is currently the Mashonaland Holdings. He is an Experienced built environment professional with a demonstrated history of excellence. Prior to joining Fidelity Life, Gibson was the Head of Property Development at Old Mutual Investment Group. He holds an MSc Real Estate, Real Estate Investment Management, University of Reading, College of Estate Management; Professional Diploma – Real Estate, Property Valuations, Law, Management & Agency from the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe & Estate Agency Council of Zimbabwe; an MSc. Construction Management, Project Management from the National University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Urban Planning, Building Economics from the University of Zimbabwe.
Givemore Chidzidzi is a holder of a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) Degree majoring in Tourism and Transportation from the University of Applied Sciences, Worms, Germany and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from the City University, Bellevue, Washington USA. He joined the tourism industry straight form university in 1986, starting his career as an Assistant Research and Planning Officer for the then Zimbabwe Tourist Development Corporation. Rose through the ranks of Research and Planning Officer, Research and Planning Manager and Head of the Research and Planning Division. Served in the Diplomatic Field as the Tourism Attaché for Zimbabwe responsible for Continental Europe and based in Frankfurt, Germany from 1996 – 2001. Returned to Zimbabwe as Marketing and Communication Director for the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, the organisation he has remained loyal to up until this day. Rose to the current position of Chief Operating Officer of the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, a position held since 2010 interspaced with several stints as Acting Chief Executive. Givemore Chidzidzi serves on a number of boards including the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Corporation (Chairman) and Board of Trustees of the Zimbabwe Republic Police High School. He has won a number of awards, more recently the Business Leader of the Year National Award in Tourism Services 2018-2019 at the Zimbabwe Business Awards.
Zimbabwean born and raised Maruza Chikwanha is the Development Director for award winning company Africa Logistics Properties based out of Nairobi, Kenya. Responsible for delivering Kenya’s first Grade A Industrial Park, he is an accomplished and versatile property developer with over 18 years of construction and development experience in emerging and developed markets, namely Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Australia.
An environmentally and socially conscious property professional with an undeniable passion for the African continent and her people. He is a Construction Management graduate from RMIT University in Melbourne Australia and was a finalist of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) Young Professional of the year.
Jeremy Brooke is the Executive Chairman of Cardinal Corporation. Prior to his current role, Jeremy was the Group Chief Executive Officer of National Foods. Previously he held senior management positions with Innscor Africa, which he joined in 2001. Prior to Innscor, Jeremy was the Managing Director and equity partner of Shearwater, a tourism and adventure company. Jeremy is a Director on a number of boards and charitable trusts.
Tara O’Connor is ARC’s founder and executive director. She has provided risk management to corporates in Africa for +20 years and has profound knowledge of Africa, it’s opportunities and risks. Her expertise is Francophone and southern Africa. Since founding ARC in 2006, she has advised on pre-investment/expansion strategies for Algeria, Angola, Congo-DRC, Cote d’Ivoire, Congo-Brazzaville, Guinea, Nigeria, East Africa & the Horn region; the Franc Zone (as a region) Gabon, Liberia, Libya, Senegal, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia. She has structured and managed due diligence investigations into companies and people, asset tracing, litigation-support, political profiling and political risk assessment.
Ben Burr is the Managing Director of CBRE Excellerate Zimbabwe, formerly known as JHI Properties. Ben has 7 years’ experience in property development, project management, leasing and consultancy in the real estate sector in Zimbabwe and holds an Economics degree from Rhodes University. Cushman & Wakefield Excellerate provide a wide range of integrated property solutions and services in the region, specialising in commercial, retail and industrial property and residential estates and have 30 offices in Africa. CWE’s portfolio in Zimbabwe is spread across 47 towns and Ben and his team prides itself on its coverage and knowledge in all corners of the country.
Washington Moyo is the Head of Corporate Finance for National Building Society. He is responsible for projects financing and deal structuring. Washington has over 13 years experience in the investments and real estate markets in Zimbabwe. He is a CFA charter holder and also holds a Masters in Business Administration.
Innocencia Tigere is a town planning and property development advisory expert with over 30 years of experience through working in both the public and private sector. She founded her
own Town Planning and Property Development Consultancy Firm, Ricencia Realty Solutions Pvt. Limited; which provides town planning, development advisory and project management
consultancy services. She is a corporate member of the Zimbabwe Institute of Regional and Urban Planners (ZIRUP) and she currently serves as the Vice President of the institute. She is
also a member of The International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) and a Member of Project Management Zimbabwe (PMZ). Innocencia Tigere also sits on the following Company Boards: Sunway City, a developer of eco-friendly world class integrated industrial, commercial, residential, institutional and recreational parks and a subsidiary of the Industrial Development Corporation of Zimbabwe Limited (IDCZ). ShelterSol Holdings which was birthed out of a need to provide housing and related infrastructure to the low and modest income home-seekers of Zimbabwe. CBZ Properties (Pvt) Limited, a subsidiary of the CBZ Holdings Limited created to deliver property development and property management services. She is the Chairperson of the Board.
ALBERT MANGWIRO is a holder of a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Registered Estate Agent and an Associate Member of the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe. Albert has 16 years’ experience in Facilities Management and Property Management. He is currently an executive director for Dawn Property Consultancy (Private) Limited heading the property management department.
Richard Matengambiri is the Managing Director of Rawson Properties ,a franchise of the Rawson Property Group of South Africa. He holds a Town Planning Degree from the university of Zimbabwe. He has over 15 years in the real estate industry and is a certified and registered member of both The Estate Agents Council of Zimbabwe, The Valuers Council of Zimbabwe, and The Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe. He has won so many business awards , and of notable interest is the Zimbabwe National Chamber Commerce Small to Medium Enterprises Entrepreneur of the year in 2012, and the Zimbabwe Institute of Management Small to Medium Enterprises Manager of the year 2011.
Maje is an expert Real Estate professional, he graduated with B.Sc (Hons) from Oxford Brookes University. In 2004 he co-founded Apex Properties, which has become one of Botswana’s well
known real estate brand. He has been involved in the leadership of real estate in Botswana. He is currently the president of The Real Estate Institute of Botswana and a past board member of
Real Estate Advisory Council (REAC). Maje is a serial entrepreneur who has started a number of ventures in different verticals in his career. He is currently the founder of a technology
software called phemo. This is a cloud based software which is used by SME to efficiently run their business on a day to day basis. His passion is to help SME perform optimally without
hurting their pockets. In his spare time, he mentors young and upcoming entrepreneurs and he is a guest lecture on entrepreneurship at Botswana Accountancy college.
Sean Godoy is a property professional with 10 years’ experience in the property industry. Most of his professional experience has been in property market analysis where he has developed a strong understanding. He has a strong interest in cities and emerging economies. Sean is passionate about SA, Africa, poverty alleviation, and education. In his own capacity and through his role on the executive committee of the South Africa Chamber of Commerce in London, he actively promotes and facilitates business and charitable activity between the UK, SA, and afield.
Lisa Dutiro is a Candidate Attorney in the Projects, Real Estate and Mergers and Acquisitions practice groups. Lisa obtained her LLB (Cum Laude) from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2017, where she achieved yearly Dean’s List status throughout her time at the University and, is a noted member of the Golden Key International Honours Society. Lisa carries a variety of interests in areas of commercial law, including corporate contracts, competition law, construction and engineering as well as regulatory and compliance related matters.
Chilufya Lombe is a mechanical engineer that has extensive experience in both performance and accreditation modelling for sustainability projects and performed energy modelling for the first Green Star rated office and retail buildings in South Africa. With a background in traditional mechanical design, Chilufya has a special interest in detailed modelling of building systems to optimise energy usage. Chilufya is also a member of the Green Building Council of South Africa’s education faculty and a member of their project assessment panel. With experience in both Green Star project management and all the required accreditation modelling Chilufya often performs a dual function on projects.
Christabel obtained her LLB degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2014. Armed with a strong background in civil litigation, she joined the firm as part of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Litigation Practice Group. Christabel gradually diversified into the practice of Real Estate and Property Development Law and is currently part of the Real Estate Practice Group, with a key focus on the Real Estate Litigation portfolio. Christabel has also spearheaded the development of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Pro Bono Department at Manokore Attorneys and continues to aim towards sustained professional growth.
Bevin Ngara, has over 10 years’ experience as an analyst and portfolio manager covering local and African markets (excluding South Africa). He is currently the General Manager for Old Mutual Property Division. He also played a leading role in the automation of the Zimbabwean capital markets with the Central Securities Depository. Bevin holds an MBA from European School of Management and Technology (ESMT, Berlin), and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from National University of Science and Technology (NUST).Bevin is a CFA Charterholder and an ESMT Responsible Leaders Fellow.
A commercial lawyer holding over ten years of experience, Bridget found her passion in helping clients on issues relating to trade and investment. With the aim of assisting clients in growing their businesses with an emphasis on positively impacting societies at large, her expertise spans across different sectors including real estate, mining and government contracts. Having worked in the public, private and non-profit sectors, Bridget holds a meaningful blend of expertise and currently heads the local chapter of the international Senior Lawyers Project (ISLP), an international non-profit organisation aimed at using the law to improve developing and emerging country economies.
Kura Chihota is Managing Director of TSL Properties, a 170 000 sq metre warehousing focused player in the Zimbabwean market. He is a seasoned property professional with experience across property development, asset management especially in listed real estate environment. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of the Witwatersrand, and attended the Real Estate Management Program at Harvard Business School. He has served as Chairman of Investment Committee on the Boards of two listed real estate companies in South Africa and consulted in Zimbabwe and Botswana.
Tafadzwa is a Director within the Turner & Townsend Zimbabwe office. He has an Honours in Quantity Surveying and is a member of the Zimbabwe Institute of Quantity Surveyors (ZIQS). His experience extends across commercial office space, education, hospitality, housing, pharmaceutical and mining. He has worked on projects for local clients such as Midlands State University, National University of Science & Technology in Bulawayo, Cresta Lodge and Harare Psychiatric Hospital. He has also worked for many global clients in Zimbabwe including Old Mutual, Stanbic, Toyota and Anglo American.
Dewaldt is a Director within CBRE Excellerate’s Advisory and Transactional Services Business. He is responsible for advising Global Occupier Clients on the effective management and de-risking of their Real Estate portfolios and Investments across Sub-Saharan Africa. With over 12 years commercial property experience in Africa, Dewaldt has built up a comprehensive understanding of the African market place, culture, business environment and investment climate as well as associated risks and the mitigation thereof. He uses this experience in the successful implementation of standardised Real Estate Strategies across fundamentally different markets across Africa.
Charity Chirume is a development manager for Terrace Africa Zimbabwe. She is responsible for the conceptual planning and project delivery of retail malls in Zimbabwe’s major towns. Prior to her current role, Charity provided project management services for Zimbabwe Electricity Industry Pension Fund’s mega retail, office and warehousing projects. Charity has a strong interest in strategizing for sustainable retail centres in developing countries. She is a quantity surveying graduate from National University of Zimbabwe, holds post graduate diplomas in Construction Law from University of Pretoria and Project management from Project Management Zimbabwe.
